Planted these in late May and by mid-July we were picking a few ribbed beauties every other day, the sweet nutty flavor really comes through when you grill them. Germination was quick and every single seed took, which is more than I can say for other packets I've tried.
The deep ridges on these Costata Romanesco squash make them look almost too pretty to cook, but once grilled they turn sweet and nutty just as described. I planted six hills and we’re already drowning in tender, ribbed zucchinis—perfect for slicing thin into salads.
They germinated within a week and every single seed took off, which never happens with the packets I grab at the big-box store. The ribbed squash have that sweet, nutty taste the description promises, and we're already harvesting more than we can eat from just three plants.
