The Ping Tung Long germinated fast and stood up to our hot summer without fuss, which I wasn't expecting from an heirloom. The fruits stay tender and slim even when I forget to pick them for a couple of days, and that mild flavor really comes through in stir-fries.

Planted these in late spring and the Ping Tung Longs came up fast, with those slender purple fruits staying tender even when I let them get a bit big. The mild flavor was perfect for stir-fries, and I was surprised how few seeds there were inside.

The fruit came out tender and slender just as described, and the mild flavor made it perfect for stir-fries. Took a couple weeks to really take off, but once established it was a steady producer all season.
