The feathery leaves looked so delicate when I planted them, but these seeds took off and produced a healthy bulb plus a generous seed harvest for tea. They’re quick to germinate and the plants have stayed strong through heat and a little neglect on my part.

These seeds germinated in under two weeks in my raised bed, and the bulbs are already swelling nicely for a fall harvest. The harvest itself was generous — I dried a full jar of seeds from just three plants for tea and cooking.

The feathery leaves look beautiful along my garden path, and the seeds I harvested were plentiful and easy to dry. It’s such a resilient plant that I barely had to fuss over it, which is exactly what I needed this season.
